A grassroots not-for-profit organization engaged in organizing and providing support services to farmers' cooperatives.
Provides technical assistance and services to Small Farmers, Indigenous People, and Partners Cooperatives.
Job Description • Responsible for consolidating members of Partner Cooperatives and engage the residents in community organizing activities to empower them through organic farming and marketing.
Assists in coordinating with project partners for the planning, designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating project activities.
Assists in appropriate community-participatory methods.
Coordinates with concerned personnel in matters regarding administrative and financial support.
Submits monthly activities and accomplishment reports.
Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the Executive Director and Project Director.
Job Qualifications • Graduate in any of the following courses: Agriculture or Forestry and willing to work in forest areas.
Experience in rural community work.
Organizing skills.
Basic skills in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
Computer literate.
Good moral character, culture and gender sensitive, and with good interpersonal skills.
Fluent in Cebuano and English.
Good communication skills.
Able to work without supervision, responsible, and possesses strong initiative and creative problem solving skills.
Background and interest in environmental conservation is preferred.
Course and/or interest in organic agriculture or permaculture is preferred.
Being a member of Indigenous group is an advantage.
Research skill is an advantage.
