Community Development Officer - Maguindanao
ROLE PURPOSE: The Community Development Officers will be responsible for the delivery of quality programming support and coordination in the implementation of the Big Bad Boo project at Division levels hosted by SCP-BARMM. The Community Development Officer will engage in regular coordination and consultation with the Project Coordinator, provide technical inputs during planning, implementation and completion of the project, monitors the implementation and progress of project activities and ensure timely completion of deliverables based on the Save the Children tools and standards and responsible for engaging with the relevant School to Division levels especially and other Local government units. This post will manage all project activities funded by Big Bad Boo at Division level. He/She will be assigned in Maguindanao area.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in education, sociology, developmental management, community development, social work and/or other related social sciences courses
Two years' work experience in similar function with technical capacity or experience on education in emergencies
Demonstrated competencies in establishing and maintaining partner relationships with local government, private enterprises, community groups;
Proven capacity in community mobilization at the city or province or groups of cities and provinces; and
Proven ability in program delivery and partnering preferably in the context of the assigned areas;
Involvement in child-centered initiatives and processes; work on programs for children e.g. education, health, child rights governance, child protection, livelihoods, humanitarian / emergency response
Very good human relations and supervisory knowledge and skills
Well-developed communication skills, both in written and verbal forms in order to establish effective relationships with a wide range of audiences, including at a geographical distance
Ability to think and act fast
High level of flexibility
Strong sense of urgency and work ethic
Can tolerate working under difficult contexts
Understands and believes in Save the Children's Policy
Contract length: Fixed Term Position until June 31, 2022 based in Maguindanao areas under Iligan City Office
