THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International is currently implementing an emergency response to Typhoon Odette hit communities in Southern Leyte.
In line with this project, Plan International invites competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position.
The Community Development Facilitator will facilitate the emergency response deliverables. This includes distribution of non-food items, coordination with local government units, project reporting and documentation.
Further, as the Community Development Facilitator:
You will facilitate the implementation of all project activities on time and comply with the necessary documents to ensure quality and accountability.
You will provide activity outputs to relevant reports to be submitted to the Team Leader.
You will prepare child protection messages in collaboration with the child
protection working group to address protection risks.
You will represent the organization in sectoral cluster meetings, as needed.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful in the role you will need among other things:
Passionate and committed to addressing issues affecting disaster risk management and child safeguarding.
Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Work, Social Science, Disaster Management Development Studies, and other related courses.
Minimum three (3) years' work experience, preferably in community development, project management, or social work.
Previous experience in disaster or emergency response is an advantage.
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.
Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.
