Job Description:
Cooking and Food Preparation:
Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of mise en place (prepped ingredients) for efficient service.
Execute cooking techniques to prepare menu items, adhering to quality and presentation standards.
Assemble and plate dishes according to established guidelines.
Adapt to changes in menu items, recipes, and production requirements as needed.
Quality Control:
Maintain consistency and quality of food products by following recipes and portion control guidelines.
Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the established standards.
Strictly follow standardized recipes and cooking methods to achieve consistency in flavor and presentation.
Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation practices.
Keep workstations and kitchen equipment clean and organized.
Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure that food meets the established standards.
Job Requirement:
Work Experience:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary position is usually required. The number of years of experience may vary.
Culinary Skills:
Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and frying.
Familiarity with different cuisines and the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Understanding of and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Keen attention to detail to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and perform various kitchen tasks.
