Details:
Will work in the Asset Management department and focus on CMDB data and CMDB correctness.
Job Responsibilities:
Data Administrative duties within the CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase).
Recognized within the Corporation as a subject matter expert for CMDB data.
Review each of their company's pre-existing CMDB management policies to make sure that they are up to date and effective. If they aren't, revise the policies as necessary.
Produce regular dashboard reports. Most reports come from the CMDB / ITSM tool, and the CMDB analyst will be able to explain where the data comes from and what the dashboard is indicating.
Performs reviews and improvements on data from CMDB as needed.
Consults to IT and Business Asset Owners on issues, questions, and problems related to the area of expertise.
Improves CMDB quality over time.
Position sets the standard for CMDB management.

Details:
Skills, Licenses, Knowledge, Education and Training Requirements:
3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
Knowledge of issues related to discovery, interconnectivity, and the potential impact on the existing CMDB.
Experience interacting with senior IT and Business Management on area of expertise as well as the ability to build strategic relationships and influence people at all levels within the organization.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and dynamic presentation skills.
Able to consult on dashboards and reinforce decisions and choices made in CMDB remediation efforts.
Attendance and schedule adherence are a requirement of this position.
Level of Knowledge, Skills, and Authority
Familiarity with modern databases and IT systems and how they work.
The CMDB Analyst will work with technicians running the network discovery tools, so expertise is not a requirement. However, familiarity with discovery tools used in network discovery and CMDB population will be needed as a foundation for the position.
Due to the importance of data analysis in their everyday duties, CMDB Analysts need to be proficient at digesting and analyzing large amounts of data.
No matter how state-of-the-art their CMDB is, problems are bound to arise. Thus, it's essential that CMDB Analysts be able to tackle problems under pressure.
Although human communication is an often-overlooked component of CMDB and automated systems, it is nonetheless essential. So, it's important that CMDB Analysts have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working with business and technical representatives are of equal importance.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks.
