The Challenge
As a Cloud Security Engineer for Demyst you will be a member of a global team that helps to ensure Demyst's global cloud infrastructure is secure. This role will include security architecture advisement, security infrastructure assessment, and implementation of security-related functionality and configuration in AWS. Your work will evolve and support a highly available, distributed system that spans multiple AWS regions and continents. Our APIs host some of the largest banks real-time data needs, so a deep understanding of AWS, security, compliance, and DevOps is required. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that is disrupting and revolutionizing the way enterprise organizations find the signal in the noise of big data.
This role is fully remote.
Responsibilities
Review AWS infrastructure and configuration, identify security issues, and provide enhancement and remediation recommendations
Participate in Demyst's solutions architecture process to help ensure security is built in from the start
Help deploy, maintain, and improve Demyst's preventive and detective security infrastructure
Review and assess security-related events from Demyst's monitoring infrastructure
Evaluate and prioritize patching or mitigation of identified software vulnerabilities
Support external audits and assessments of Demyst's security and compliance
Proactively identify and advocate for security and process improvement opportunities
Serve as part of Demyst's incident response team
Requirements
Experience deploying and securing solutions in multi account/multi region AWS environments utilizing AWS Organizations and the AWS Well Architected framework
Strong knowledge of AWS IAM permissions
Familiarity with cloud native security and monitoring tools such as Datadog
Experience with AWS Security portfolio of services such as Secret Manager, AWS KMS, AWS Macie, Amazon Inspector, AWS WAF, AWS Shield and AWS Guard Duty
Hands-on experience securing and deploying containerized and serverless workloads in AWS
Working understanding of networking security principles
Strong familiarity with CloudFormation and Terraform
Experience configuring and integrating external identity providers such as Onelogin with AWS SSO in a multi account / multi region deployment
Experience working with large financial institutions or other large enterprises in a regulated industry
One of the following AWS certifications - Security Specialty, SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect
