Purpose
Responsible for managing the operations of CPI's and our clients' cloud-based solutions, principally in AWS
Working closely with the CPI cloud solutions development and IT teams, is responsible for developing and maintaining operational best practices to deploy and implement cloud-based solutions
Ensure effective deployment, monitoring, reporting, security, and life-cycle management solutions services through our hosted environments and proper training on the staff involved in the Cloud Operations
This position is expected to grow over time to incorporate additional responsibilities and opportunities as our cloud infrastructure expands.
Accountabilities
Subject Matter Expert:
Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues; design tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence;
Assist support teams and services and clients with cloud questions, systems design, problem resolution, etc;
Manage security-related aspects of the infrastructure, including compliance with relevant standards.
Design and Planning:
Work with developers and other engineers to create and maintain the cloud (AWS) infrastructure;
Contribute to strategic planning for cloud solutions;
Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration.
Conduct capacity planning analysis and cloud budget planning.
Administration and Maintenance:
Create and maintain automated monitoring and reporting of cloud infrastructure health, performance and cost control;
Manage the monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy, stability of cloud systems;
Participate in any project deemed necessary by the organization.
Human Resource Management:
Responsible for performance management, service and client experience coaching, training and development of employees;
Ensures the team is up-to-date on product functionality, tools, industry trends and best practices related to radiology workflow and integration;
Promote the company culture.
Performance Management:
Evaluate the performance of the department processes, report Key Performance Indicators, get customer feedback, keep abreast of the best practices, recommend adjustments and implement changes.
Bachelor's Degree in IT/Com Sci or any other related courses
A minumum of 5 years of IT experience within a medium to large sized business;
A minumum of 2 relevant years of experience in Cloud Administration;
AWS Certification, such as AWS SysOps Engineer or AWS DevOps Engineer, is a major asset;
Broad experience with and knowledge of several operating systems (Linux, Microsoft);
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of networking, in particular building cloud networks and integrating them with on-premise networks in a secure and reliable manner;
Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes;
Knowledge of containers, orchestration tools, and container management is an asset;
Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
SQL and database experience.
