Job Description
Cloud Engineer design, implement, debug, manage, and migrate cloud-based systems for businesses.
The resource will own Continuous Delivery specifications, quality, release deployments, and monitoring of production health. The role must ship high-quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support.
The role must work effectively with staff to manager-level employees within the function, across functions, and with external parties. Limited supervision is provided, as this role can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently. The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
Required Qualifications
Professional IT experience in a large-scale, distributed environment with hands-on experience in multiple technologies and multiple roles from Design, Build, Transition, and Operations.
Professional IT experience in private (VMWare or Redhat Openstack/Openshift) and/or public cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), containerization, and serverless platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare TKGI/ RH OpenShift).
Professional IT experience in Terraform and Red Hat Ansible playbook development.
Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledgeable with software development, engineering, programming languages, and tools Python, Unix Shell, PowerShell, HCL (HashiCorp Configuration Language), CI/CD pipelines (CI: Jenkins/CodeDeploy, CD: GitLab Self-Managed and SaaS, Artifactory: JFrog), DevOps Collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence, OpenDevOps, etc., and ability to work with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Startup, XP).
Knowledgeable in Automation and CI/CD tools such as SCM (GitLab/GitHub/BitBucket).
