Job Summary
 
The Clinical Instructor in the College of Nursing plays a vital role in shaping future healthcare professionals by designing and implementing effective teaching-learning techniques. This is an on-site role that requires direct supervision and mentoring of nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings to ensure they achieve the necessary competencies for professional practice.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Clinical Instruction:
Guide students through their Related Learning Experience (RLE), including hospital, healthcare agency, and community health center exposure.
Conduct pre-clinical briefings on fundamental nursing procedures, patient rights, safety protocols, and surgical assistance.
Supervise and assess students' performance in various clinical tasks, including patient care, medication administration, surgical assistance, and health education.
Provide feedback and ensure students' compliance with proper aseptic techniques, patient care standards, and clinical documentation.
Serve as a role model by demonstrating professional competence, ethical behavior, and strong moral character.
Classroom Instruction:
Develop and implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE) instructional plans aligned with curriculum standards.
Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and provide timely feedback to students.
Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and conduct remediation sessions as needed.
Conduct quizzes, exams, and assessments to evaluate learning outcomes effectively.
Maintain a supportive and conducive learning environment while upholding university policies and student discipline.
Administrative & Other Responsibilities:
Assist in student enrollment and submit grade reports on time.
Actively participate in school-mandated activities, faculty development programs, and department initiatives.
Engage in continuous learning and training to enhance professional skills.
Uphold the values and reputation of the university through ethical and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Education: Must be a Licensed Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Nursing.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with teaching experience.

This is a full-time, on-site position at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation. The role requires in-person teaching and clinical supervision.
