CLINIC DRIVER / WATCHMAN
Duties and responsibilities
A. Driving/Transporting
Transporting patients in a safe and professional manner.
Assisting patients in and out of vehicle and when necessary into the destination.
Assist with stretchers, wheelchairs, lifts, and the like to ensure safety and security of patients transferred.
Assist patients and staff once at destination with log-ins, registration, admissions, etc as may be necessary.
Transport patients and staff to doctors appointments, laboratories, and the like.
Pick up results or other necessary documents as required by management.
Drive staff for follow up visits of transferred patients, home visits, outreach, and other related activities.
Drive staff and/or management for important meetings or activities.
Assist in pick up of medical supplies and clinical equipment including medicines needed by patients and/or staff.
Complete vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport. Report concerns to management.
Clean the inside and outside of the Patient Transport Vehicle, Shuttle Service and motorcycle of Glory Reborn daily and after every transport with appropriate cleansers.
B. Communication and Documentation
Communicate in a positive effective manner with staff, co-workers, patients and/or visitors.
Answer telephone communications and record messages and refer to the concerned staff.
Communicate clearly with clinical managers, leaders, and management in order to receive relevant data and instructions.
Report back to the clinical manager when patients have been dropped off at their destination.
Report traffic delays en route back to the clinical manager on duty.
Report any incidents or accidents to the Clinical Manager. Fill out properly and completely the Incident Report Form.
Document all transportation usage in the Driver's Log Sheet.
Monitor availability of all medical and portable oxygen tanks in the clinic.
Ensure that all oxygen regulators are available and functional.
C. Watchman
Provide safety of the facility, equipment, patients and staff during shift.
Document in the logbook all patients, relatives, visitors, and persons coming in and out of the facility and issue watchers passes where necessary.
Ensure checking of bags for staff, patients, and all persons coming in and out of the facility for safety assurance.
Check that excess lights, fans, air conditions and the like are turned off when not in use.
Check that all windows are closed during evening/night hours.
Ensure doors and gates are securely locked after office hours.
Ensure vehicles are locked and secured in parking areas.
Perform roaming checks around the facility and all staff/visitor housing areas (blue and red gate) to ensure safety, locked doors and windows, and assist in opening staff/visitor housing upon request.
Alert the barangay and other necessary offices of any potential dangers,harm, suspicious persons, or problematic persons in the facility where appropriate.
Qualifications
At least High School Graduate
Demonstrates surveillance skills, self control, and good judgement
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of the ethics of confidentiality
Willing to work with marginalized clients
Understanding of charitable services and programs
Has understanding of ministry and biblical principles and is willing to work in a Christian non-profit organization to invest in the individual lives of our clients.
