JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for goal achievement, support, and overall production on the daily and long-term operations of Claims Department.
Provide proactive management of claims in order to achieve high levels of satisfaction for the insured through high quality claim management, resolution and excellent client service.
Design and implement various policies and procedures on insurance claims based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage.
Administer settlement of difficult or complex claims
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the insurance industry (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent organization, time management skills, able to prioritize own workload
Good literacy, numeracy, and technical skills
Must be personable with customer service background
Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
Minimum of 10 years related experience as Claims Head handling different insurance lines
Positive “can do” attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
Ability to organize, document, and control both digital and physical data
Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of analytical ability and natural curiosity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word; Excel; PowerPoint) Databases; Developing and running loss runs, Pivot tables, etc.
Willingness to travel
