As a Civil Works Design Engineer, will perform pivotal in shaping road infrastructure and wet utility projects, with a primary focus on drainage, sewer, and water systems. The role involves designing plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing project efficiency, work closely with external experts to uphold quality and project alignment, overseeing engineering designs and specifications for multiple projects, ensuring consistency and industry standard compliance.
Duties and responsibilities:
Develop civil design plans for road infrastructure and wet utilities, including drainage, sewer, and water systems.
Prepare detailed specifications and accurate cost estimates to support project development and conceptual discussions.
Conduct design analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory permit requirements, making necessary revisions as required.
Formulate proposals and recommendations to enhance the quality and efficiency of design plans.
Collaborate with external planners, designers, and consultants, reviewing their plans and documents to maintain project quality and alignment with objectives.
Oversee and secure all engineering designs and specifications across various projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time to support the overall success of the organization.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
License Civil Engineer, possess an active civil engineering license.
A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Civil Works Design Engineer, with a proven track record of reporting directly to the Senior CW Design Engineer and CW Department Manager.
Engineering Knowledge: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all relevant engineering codes and standards, ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations.
Proficient in a wide range of engineering software, including but not limited to Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Familiarity with other design software is a plus.
Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while effectively contributing to a diverse array of design projects.
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.
