CITY PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Based in Tacloban City
JOB PURPOSE:
The City Program Coordinator will serve as the Project’s lead implementer in Tacloban City under USAID’s Cities Development Initiative (CDI). You will be tasked to provide advisory services to the city government, to engage local business groups, civil society organizations and other stakeholders. You will oversee the activities of the project at the city-level.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Manage the administrative and financial aspects of the Project office in Tacloban City.
• Oversee Project implementation and monitor progress in the City, coordinating with the Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Component Leads and other technical staff to ensure successful execution of Project activities;
• Facilitate technical and financial reporting on a regular basis to Project headquarters in Makati;
• Coordinate with other USAID projects operating in the city; and
• Contribute to overall Project monitoring and evaluation and baseline assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have an academic degree in economics, commerce, agriculture/agribusiness, engineering or related course. Post-graduate degree an advantage.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge and experience of at least five (5) years in implementation/management of development projects in a donor institution, government agency or private company.
• Must have relevant work experience or exposure to relevant sectors such agribusiness, logistics, marketing, rural development.
• Demonstrated experience in engaging with local government units, government agencies and other private sector partners in project management.
• Passionate and committed to development work.
• Possesses strong collaboration skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to accept feedback from the SURGE team.
• Must have excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Must be willing to do field work in the targeted cities in Visayas and Mindanao.
• Prior experience with USAID-funded projects will be an advantage.
