Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage, supervise, monitor, and review the daily activities of Radiation Oncology Center.
2. Establish and maintain policies, procedures, standards, job descriptions, and objectives for efficient patient care and department operations.
3. Interpret and administer GCCI Radiation Oncology Center policies as applicable, ensures compliance, and report/advise as required
4. Liaise with Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physics, and Biomedical Engineer (Service Engineer) to ensure patient, equipment and safety related issues resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
5. Plan the future growth of Radiation Oncology Center in collaboration with the Head of Radiation Oncology
6. Develop and recommend department and capital equipment budget. Maintain department budget within allocated funds in collaboration with the Radiation Oncology Head.
7. Represent the Center in Committees, Taskforces and other working groups as assigned
8. Participate in the implementation of the hospital's radiation safety program
9. Perform daily quality control tests on the treatment machine, including LINAC, ERBT, CT Simulator etc.
10. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualification:
1. Registered Radiologic Technologist
2. With at least 9 units of Master's Degree
3. Five (5) years of Radiotherapy experience (1 year as Chief Radiotherapy Technologist)
4. Previous Management Experience (preferred)
5. Knowledge and understanding of current practices in radiation therapy, including high-dose-rate brachytherapy and treatment of cancer patients
6. Experience with Varian Aria Oncology Information System, EPIC Electronic
7. Knowledge on Radiation Safety protocol
8. Certified Radiation Safety Officer is an advantage but not required
Work Location: Bay, Laguna (with staff housing provision)
