Job Summary
 
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall financial strategy, stewardship, and sustainability of the holdings company and its subsidiaries. This executive role involves leading the financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting processes, reporting, risk management, and strategic financial decision-making across multiple industries under the holding structure. The CFO works closely with the President and business unit heads to drive financial performance, enable growth, and ensure compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis
Lead long-term financial planning and scenario analysis for the group and its subsidiaries.
Evaluate and model investment opportunities, new ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making and strategy.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Oversee the annual budgeting process across all business units.
Implement rolling forecasts and identify financial risks and opportunities.
Align financial plans with operational and strategic goals.
Financial Preparation and Reporting
Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated and entity-level financial statements.
Establish and enforce financial reporting standards and internal controls, as well as have the ability to establish systems using financial intelligence and AI.
Present reports to the Board of Directors and stakeholders, including variance and trend analyses.
Cash Flow and Capital Management
Manage group-wide cash flow, financing, and capital structure.
Oversee intercompany transactions, fund transfers, and dividend policies.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on credit facilities and investment vehicles.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Establish financial policies, internal controls, and risk management practices across the group.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, tax regulations, and reporting standards.
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Leadership and Collaboration
Lead and develop the finance and accounting teams within the holding company and subsidiaries.
Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive operational efficiency and cost management.
Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and performance across all financial functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance is an advantage.
CPA is preferred but not required.
Experience in a multi-entity, multi-industry environment such as a holdings or conglomerate structure is preferred, but not required.
