As a Technician in the Materials Science Laboratory group of Western Digital, you will be part of a dynamic team that oversees SEM and SEM-EDX analysis and provides characterization support. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn new techniques, interact closely with fellow technicians and management team and be part of a global workforce in accomplishing the sub-function team's goals assigned at Western Digital.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct SEM-EDX outgoing analysis and prepare characterization reports
· Develop techniques necessary to solve characterization issues or problems and/or improve team's processes
· Support characterization activities for product and process development and improvement
· Applies knowledge/skills to complete given tasks as well provide innovative solutions
· Collaborate with fellow technicians, engineers and management team
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
· College level within a technical degree or any technical vocational course
· Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Prior experience in operating any analytical tools
· Chemical Technician License
SKILLS:
· Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
· Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent positive results
· Must work well with diverse teams
