Job Description
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and equipment. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
• Assist in modifying or planning new installations to minimize waste of materials and provides access for future maintenance; • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints ensuring concealed wiring is
• Works around hazardous wiring; • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using rulers and hand tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader and conduit bender
• Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal gaps
• Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools; • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit breakers panels, fastening in place with screw or bolts using hand tools and/or power too
• Unwinds the drum by pulling the cable; • Connects power cable to equipment using hand tools; • Observes functioning of the installed equipment
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Ex-Bechtel preferred. Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience required. Must have good skills in speaking, writing, and reading English.
