CHARACTER ILLUSTRATOR
 
Job Description
 
This position involves creating character assets for games and similar projects.
 
Based on provided briefs and specifications, the work includes character design, costume design, creation of character parts (hairstyles, facial expressions, accessories, etc.), clean-up based on rough drafts, costume variations, and, if possible, background illustrations.

Main Responsibilities
Create illustration assets and variations based on briefs and specifications
Produce and propose rough sketches in line with provided directions
Communicate with internal staff and Japan-based directors, and handle revisions as needed
Required Skills / Experience
Prior professional experience (commercial or freelance). New graduates not accepted
Basic operational skills in drawing software such as CLIP STUDIO PAINT or Adobe Photoshop
Basic PC skills (Windows/Mac). Tablet-only workflows such as iPad are not accepted
Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop
Basic skills in Adobe Illustrator
Ability to communicate smoothly with internal and external team members
Japanese language ability (for communication and reading documents) is a plus
Ideal Candidate
Able to illustrate carefully with attention to detail
Responsible and able to meet deadlines
Capable of proposing ideas and creative solutions based on given themes

Applicants whose portfolio meets our quality standards will be given a test assignment.
Please submit the completed test along with the time spent on production.
Applicants who pass the test will be invited for an interview.
Cebu-based applicants: in-person interview at the office + online participation from Japan
Applicants from outside Cebu: online interview
