Job Description
The Change Management & Communications Manager is responsible for designing and implementing change management strategies, plans, and communication programs to support Distribution Transformation (DT) projects and initiatives. He/she communicates new policies and procedures related to DT projects and initiatives, and acts as the liaison within Retail Distribution (RD) to ensure that distributors, managers, leaders, and support teams are on the same page regarding these changes.
The Change Management & Communications Manager supports all Distribution Transformation projects and initiatives, including the implementation of Phygital tools & solutions through the development of phygital adoption plans and strategies, in partnership with the Distribution Channels (Agency, Bancassurance, Alternative Channels), Distribution Learning & Development (DL&D), the Distribution Support Team (DST), and the Technology & Transformation (T&T) Team. He/she helps RD make the smooth transition from current to future state (e.g., manual to Phygital) ensuring that the participants/users are trained and onboarded properly and the project/initiative results are tracked, monitored, and measured vis--vis the Distribution Transformation goals and objectives.
The Change Management & Communications Manager works closely with Distribution Transformation Managers, Retail Distribution (RD) Business Partners, functional Business Units (BUs), the Executive Team (EXCOM), and other stakeholders to ensure that change management programs and initiatives are managed effectively, and that Distributors are engaged and informed throughout the change management process.
The Change Management & Communications Manager must be able to motivate people to accept change, manage their expectations throughout the process, and resolve any issues that may arise during the implementation. The Change Management & Communications Manager engages several stakeholders in driving the culture of Distribution Transformation. Therefore, he/she must demonstrate strong leadership and event management skills, excellent verbal & written communication abilities, a deep understanding of human behavior, and a general knowledge of the life insurance industry across the RD channels.
The Change Management & Communications Manager reports to the Distribution Transformation Director
Key Responsibilities
1. Develops and implements change management & communications strategies (including adoption/migration plans and key messages) for DT projects and initiatives
2. In partnership with the DST, manages the budget, production, and distribution of change management & communication tools, materials, and media channels to support DT project launches/kickoffs, rollouts, campaigns, and events for internal (e.g., Distributors) and external audiences (i.e., Bank Partners)
3. Supports the DT Managers in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, best practices (e.g., Banca/Agency Blueprints), and the documentation of processes, policies, and guidelines
4. Works with the DT Managers to identify and manage potential barriers, issues, impacts and risks that may arise during the change management implementation process and develops solutions to address them
5. Provides guidance and coaching to the DT Project Teams to ensure that effective change management practices are followed, and the implementation of change initiatives are carried out according to plan
6. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of change management strategies and communication programs, including tracking implementation progress, creating project performance reports and presentations for AXA leaders/management, and ensuring all documents are uploaded in SharePoint
7. Guides DL&D in the design and delivery of training programs and materials to support change management and RD is prepared for DT projects and initiatives, including Phygital tools, within RD
8. Works with HR Business Partners in managing the change management & communication process within RD during organizational changes such as restructuring, job rotations/alignment
9. Communicates effectively with key stakeholders throughout AXA Philippines about the change management process and collaborates with DT Project Teams, cross-functional teams, leaders, and business partners to ensure that change initiatives are aligned with organizational goals & objectives
10. Establishes, implements, and reviews best business practices for communication and engagement in RD
Your Profile
. Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, information
technology, or a related field. A master's degree in business administration (MBA) is a plus!
. Training & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role or in a similar setting. Deep
understanding of insurance sales & marketing, operations, and distribution channels. Preferably with
project management experience.
. Certifications & Licenses: Project Management certification and/or equivalent is a plus!
. Business Analysis: The Distribution Transformation Manager understands the current state of Retail
Distribution and its market. He/she assesses RD's operations, identifies areas for improvement, and
develops strategies to achieve these improvements. He/she knows Division's objectives & goals and helps
RD grow and develop to achieve these objectives & goals.
. Change Management: The Distribution Transformation Manager uses his/her change management skills
to implement new strategies and processes. He/she utilizes these skills to help the Division adjust to
changes from Transformation initiatives.
. Communication: The Distribution Transformation Manager communicates with Retail Distribution,
business partners, and other stakeholders about the Transformation goals and the progress made toward
achieving them. He/she builds trust and maintains positive relationships with others.
. Leadership: The Distribution Transformation Manager motivates the functional teams and encourages
them to work together to achieve the Transformation goals and support RD's transformation.
. Project Management: The Distribution Transformation Manager oversees several projects at once. He/she
use project management software to track the status of projects and the progress of teams. He/she uses
project management skills to create schedules for teams and to delegate tasks.
