SUMMARY
As a key member of the executive team, The Chief Financial Officer will assume a strategic role in providing insight and guidance to the Council on all financial and investment related activities for Global Comfort Group. The CFO will play a lead role in strategic investment opportunities, deal analysis, acquisitions, and financial partner relationships along with oversight for accounting, finance, and budgeting. By participating in leadership at the department and executive level, the CFO fosters collaboration with the broader organization and its efforts as a whole. Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with banks, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following tasks:
Works with the Executive Team to set financial objectives - both short and long term, while continuously evaluating plans for the hotel expansion.
Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, suggesting creative solutions.
Defines appropriate benchmarks, hurdle rates and other tools for objective evaluation of asset and department performance.
Promotes the company's desire to create a positive impact beyond the bottom line, via their investment strategies.
Develops and advocates for overall investment strategies and specific opportunities.
Monitors markets, trends and anticipates risks and opportunities.
Participates as a member of the Executive Team including participation in management discussions regarding other aspects of GCGC and affiliate operations.
Provides periodic reporting on investment performance and all financial reporting as it relates to GCGC.
Manage, develop and mentor financial leadership team.
Guides the GCGC leaders to have the right resources, processes and metrics to execute their operating plans.
Participating in strategic sales appointments, acquisition discussions, and partnership opportunities, bank negotiation where appropriate.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
Ten years up of experience in financial management required.
