Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible in dispensing and charging of all requested items
- Makes supplies and packs them for sterilization
- Checks and packs instruments and special sets for sterilization.
- Charges all medical supplies that taken out by the staff nurse to the patient.
- Enters daily charges into bin card
- Dispenses medical supplies properly.
- Receives and issues medical supplies to authorized personnel and other necessary supplies needed by the patient.
- Carries out specified and delegated functions from the unit head and makes proper endorsement every start and end of the shift.
- Maintains and keep of the unit, proper order, clean and safe.
- Checks basic supplies and stocks ready for use on upon request or demand.
- Forward charges to billing section before cut-off time.
- Receives telephone calls politely regarding clearances, charges, etc.
- Attends to patient's relatives complaints regarding CS charging
- Attends all meetings of the unit, department and hospital called for.
- Participates in the planning and improvement of the unit.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of any allied course, preferably in Midwifery course.
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience in CSR or 2 years clerical experience, preferably gained in a hospital / clinic set up
- Must possess good business communication and interpersonal relation skills
- Has good moral character.
