To successfully move forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to strengthen our Carcass Team.
 
Your responsibility
 
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Carpenter to join our organization in a production support role. This position is hands-on and intentionally flexible, designed to support various stages of our production process depending on individual skills, experience, and development potential.
 
The role will primarily focus on layout, assembly, installation, fitting, sanding and base coating, repair work, fabrication of jigs and support frames, and installation of hardware and other fixtures. These tasks support the production of bespoke surfaces and interior design products. Other duties include accurate measuring, cutting, and preparation of materials based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
 
Our business model is highly specialized and differs significantly from typical mass-manufacturing environments in the Philippines. Successful candidates are expected to be detail-oriented, flexible, and proactive, with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within the production team.
 
Key Responsibilities
Reports to the Process Unit Leader (PUL) and receives daily tasks and instructions from him.
Set up and operate machine(s) to execute cutting, calibrating to desired thickness, hot pressing, vacuum pressing, boring, sanding, planning, shaping and others, if necessary, as specified in the manufacturing instructions.
Assembles carcass with precise dimensions (w/.5mm tolerance) based on the approved shop drawings using portable hand tools or equipment.
Withdraw materials from warehouse as indicated in the material list as approved by the PUL through the material request slips.
Work alongside other production team members to ensure that all PPT products are crafted with the utmost attention to detail and high level of quality.
Follow the manufacturing instructions strictly and approach PUL or concerned higher ups for clarifications.
Work with time and material consciously to avoid variances from direct materials and labor.
Support the development of new products and engineering related works.
Facilitate the making of crates for packaging and shipping.
Facilitate the request for the sharpening of tools and machine breakdown repair or maintenance alongside with PUL.
Wear correct PPE and observe the OHS & Environmental policy of the company.

Qualifications and experience
GED, high school diploma or higher preferred
4+ years' experience in a furniture manufacturing company preferred.
Possessing a TESDA Certificate for Carpentry NC II is a big plus.
In-depth understanding of machine equipment set up and use of various tools.
Can read, interpret, and work from shop drawings and be able to understand other forms of specifications such as written specifications and sample references.
Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and the ability to pay attention to detail.
Can construct and repair high-grade furniture and fine woodwork.
Can work to close tolerances; and give and follow oral and written
instructions.
Can work with different types of materials such as Tricoya engineered wood, multiplex, aluminum sheet, magnesium oxide board, foam board, and lightweight aluminum composite panels (Alucore).
Demonstrate maturity and a humble approach to tackling new skills.
Good interpersonal skills enabling coordination with managers.
Able to work independently if necessary and to identify and solve problems.
Able to expand basic woodworking techniques and construction.
Willingness to further train as well as teach woodworking skills.
Able to work safely and consciously in terms of occupational & environmental hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
Working knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial.
