CARE COORDINATOR
 
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
Basic knowledge of medical terminology
Experience in healthcare settings, particularly in patient care is a plus
Experience in customer service or call center environments is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Good problem-solving skills to address patient needs effectively.
Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Willing to work on graveyard shift. Office hours is every Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM Pacific Daylight & Standard Time (40 hours per week) or more
Preferred:
Experience with orthopedic medicine
Experience with USA medical insurance companies
Experience with Zendesk
Experience with DrChrono
POSITION OVERVIEW
 
The Care Coordinator will report to the Care Coordinator Supervisor and support front office operations. Duties and responsibilities will include:
Answering patient phone calls
Answering phone calls from providers and other offices
Receiving and responding to emails and text messages from patients and other offices
Scheduling appointments
Confirming appointments
Monitoring the clinic schedule to ensure that patient chief complaints are orthopedic in nature and can be seen by our clinic
Monitoring the clinic schedule to ensure that different appointment types are scheduled in the correct timeslots
Rescheduling appointments when needed
Verifying that patient insurance plans are active and in-network
Coordinating with referral partners about patient care
Faxing medical records and referrals
Coordinating with in-office staff over chat, phone calls, and video calls
