Job Description
 
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The Car Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for working with automobiles.
 
Reporting Relationship
Directly reports to Head of the Facilities
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and other issues affecting vehicle performance.
Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
Replace worn or damaged parts, such as belts, hoses, filters, and brake pads, using appropriate tools and techniques.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems and develop effective repair solutions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire balancing and rotations, and fluid checks, to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs, parts usage, and labor hours for monitoring purposes.
Qualifications
Completion of a formal automotive technician training program or apprenticeship is a plus but not necessary.
Proven experience 1 year working as a car mechanic in a professional automotive repair shop.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and diagnostic procedures.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and computerized diagnostic software.
Excellent mechanical skills and manual dexterity.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
