Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect seamer, tools, and area before operation.
Operate seamer per SOPs and specs.
Monitor seams; stop line for defects.
Segregate non-conforming cans.
Perform minor adjustments; report issues.
Complete reports and ensure traceability.
Clean equipment and follow changeover steps.
Use PPE; maintain safety and housekeeping.
Coordinate with teams; join trainings.
Support food safety and continuous improvement.
 
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent; technical or vocational training in food processing, packaging, or machine operation is an advantage.
Preferably 1-2 years in can seaming operations.
Basic understanding of can seaming principles, seam integrity, and safe operation of can seaming equipment.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and Halal requirements relevant to canned meat production; able to apply procedures during operation
Ability to accurately read, record, and interpret measurements; follow SOPs and inspection protocols.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods, handling materials within safe limits, and operating machinery in a chilled environment; must be medically cleared to perform duties safely.
Attention to detail, teamwork, adherence to safety practices, and willingness to participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Job summary: The Can Seamer Operator ensures the safe and hygienic operation of the can seaming machine, achieving hermetic sealing for canned meat loaf products.
