Learn and understand the different key processes in the plant through immersion and development training in other departments.
Learn the job of the different positions in the department that he will be deployed and be able to serve as back up to those where his technical competence will fit.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
At Central Maintenance Dept.
Learns and understands maintenance processes and develops the skills of (1)Shift Engineer, and (2)Maintenance Planner.
Provides inputs and recommends action plans for the repair and maintenance works of machines, equipment, utilities and plant facilities.
Identifies and recommends action plans for the procurement of materials needed for the effective and on-time implementation of maintenance works.
Monitors operational performance efficiencies of machines and equipment and performs analysis of problems encountered. Investigates root cause/s, implements and/or recommends cost-effective corrective action plans to ensure reliability and availability.
Performs vibration monitoring and/or thermal imaging as provided for in the preventive maintenance program. Analyzes results, implements and/or recommends corrective/ preventive action plan on the abnormalities and potential problems identified.
Performs calibration of all measuring equipment as may be required ensuring that devices remain reliable and that these conform to ISO requirements.
Attends to shifting duty, night calls and other maintenance emergencies as the need arises.
At Flour Mill
Learns and understands flour milling processes and develop the skills of (1)Asst. Mill Operator, (2)Siloman, and (3)Mill Operator
Monitors operational performance efficiencies of flour milling machines and equipment. Performs analysis of problems encountered. Investigates root cause/s, implements and/or recommends cost-effective corrective action plans to ensure reliability and availability.
Identifies critical spare parts required and monitors inventory. Recommends action plans to Production Supervisor and/or Flour Mill Manager for the procurement.
Learns and understands sifter flow sheets. Develop the skills required on how to fix broken sifter sieve cloth.
Acts as Reliever to Assistant Mill Operator and Siloman when the incumbent is on vacation/sick leave or on Official Business or attending company-related activities.
At Feed Mill
Learns and understands feed milling processes and develop the skills of (1)Cadet Engineer, (2)Control Room Operator, and (3)Materials Planner
Monitors operational performance efficiencies of feed milling machines and equipment. Performs analysis of problems encountered. Investigates root cause/s, implements and/or recommends cost-effective corrective action plans to ensure reliability and availability.
Identifies critical spare parts required and monitors inventory. Recommends action plans to Production Supervisor and/or Feed Mill Manager for the procurement.
Acts as Reliever to Cadet Engineer, Control Room Operator, and Materials Planner when the incumbent is on vacation/sick leave, or Official Business or attending company-related activities.
Establishes, maintains, recommends and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas of responsibility to ensure compliance to food safety standards set by 5S, GMP, ISO, HACCP, ERM & Halal.
Actively participates in company programs and provide support at all times.
Performs other related works as may be assigned by the Department Head and/or immediate superior.
Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in maintenance field or in a manufacturing company
CRITICAL SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
1. Handling basic mechanical hand tools and equipment
2. Basic Engineering workshop and measuring tool.
3. Knowledge of and familiarity of the functionality of the different machine equipment and its components.
4. Knowledge on basic electro-pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
5. Capability to interpret symbols and plans.
6. Computer literacy in data processing and company-required software.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in English or in the vernacular both written and oral
