Job Description
Source and order high-quality meats, ensuring freshness and variety. Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and meet customer demand.
Oversee proper handling, storage, and rotation of meat products to maintain optimal quality and freshness.
Lead the butchery team in providing exceptional customer service. Possess in-depth knowledge of various cuts and recommend the perfect meat for each customer's needs.
Prepare custom cuts and special orders to customer specifications.
Train and mentor butchery staff on proper meat cutting techniques, equipment operation, and food safety procedures.
Motivate and develop the butchery team to achieve departmental goals. Ensure a safe and positive work environment for all staff.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked butcher shop. Oversee sanitation and hygiene procedures to comply with all food safety regulations.
Monitor equipment operation and ensure proper maintenance.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management; Hospitality/Tourism Management; Others or similar fields.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a butcher shop or meat department, preferably in a supermarket setting.
