What will you do at JTI
Prepare documents for each activity/process, update documents for any changes to ensure knowledge sharing and smooth backups
Provide or update data in Power BI
Proactively seek improvements to existing tools and/or develop new ones to improve the data services provided
Perform planned upgrades, migrations or integrations of interfaces, systems and platforms
Support GTR projects where a Data Team expert is involved to provide analytical or technical support
Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, data engineers and end users such as managers and business executives
Translate business needs into technical specifications, monitor and resolve technical issues with components and processes within existing tools
Maintain existing Power BI report sets and write new reports as required
It will be easier for you to complete the above tasks if:
you have a university degree or equivalent experience (mathematics, computer science, statistics)
you have a working knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
you have a good knowledge of BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)
you have experience in writing Power BI reports
you have advanced MS Excel, Power Point, Power BI, SQL, VBA (basic understanding of database architecture principles in order to build proper relationships between tables)
you have numerical skills, an analytical mind with a focus on problem solving
you know English at an advanced level
an additional advantage will be if you have experience and knowledge of the tobacco industry.
