The Business Development Specialist operates in the crucial space between our Research Analyst (RA) and Enterprise Sales (ES) functions.
Responsibilities:
Synthesize information inputs from diverse sources, including Research Analyst's findings, ChatGPT initial research guidance, website research, LinkedIn networking, personal and professional networking, direct industry consultant interactions, industry journals, competitive market research, news media, Facebook research, and conference & event attendee lists.
Maintain prospecting progress details in Hubspot or similar shared tool.
Share vital information with RA and ES, to facilitate efficient collaboration and overall operational effectiveness.
Initiate engagement with contacts via email, LinkedIn, phone, or in-person meetings.
Perform basic qualification checks, including verifying contact details, determining correct roles and responsibilities, identifying challenges faced in role, and understanding their priority.
Apply the MEANACTS approach in engagements, even if not explicitly, or to get complete answers.
Advocate for our "next step" offer (e.g., seminar/webinar, report) to the prospect.
Exclude unlikely prospects and circle back on relevant deferrals.
Performance Metrics:
Emphasis on the quality of leads rather than quantity.
Monitoring the number of calls made on a weekly basis, rather than daily.
