Job Title: Business Development Officer
Reports To: Merchandising Officer
Job Level Required: Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field. 3 years experience in retail, distribution, and wholesale, preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry
Office Location: Cogon Ramos, Cebu City (landmark: near Sacred Heart Center)
Salary & Benefits:
· 25,000-30,000 monthly depending on experience and qualifications
· 20 Paid Service Incentive Leaves which can be used either Vacation Leave or Sick Leave- Received in First Year - Accrued
· Company issued cellphone and work laptop.
Job Description:
The Business Development Officer is responsible for management of, development, and growth of all category of products or services of Majesty Pharma. Conduct research on market trends, analyze data, and work closely with purchasers, suppliers and sales team to identify opportunities for growth, manage inventory, and optimize pricing strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategies based on market research and analysis,creates strategies that ensure success of the categories such as promotions, pricing, and product selection.
Establish and maintain strong network of business relationship with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify new suppliers that can bring value.
Track market trends and adjust product offerings accordingly to stay competitive.
Ensure accurate inventory level to meet demand to avoid financial burden on the organization.
Collaborate with purchasers, operations, marketing, and sales team to execute strategies and achieve revenue target.
Regular analysis of all category performanceusing data and make recommendation to improve products offerings or pricing strategies based on the findings.
Keep up to date with developments of all categories such as new products and technology advancements.
Set category budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensure spending within budget.
Maintains organized files of pertinent records and documents as well as safe keep and maintain company properties in good working conditions such as laptop computers and mobile phone.
Performs other business related tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in business,merchandising or related field
3 years experience in retail,distribution and wholesale, preferably in Pharmaceautical Industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software
Demonstrate ability to manage a team and collaborate with cross functional departments
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build business relation with suppliers and business partners
Knowledge in retail,wholesale and distribution trends and consumer behaviour
