A Business Development Manager is a senior role, and as such has some important duties and responsibilities to fulfil, with both short and long-term goals to achieve:
The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager are to develop growth strategies and plans, manage and retain relationships with existing clients, increase client base, and write business proposals.
The Business Development Manager is expected to negotiate with stakeholders, identify and map business strengths and customer needs, research business opportunities and viable income streams, follow industry trends locally and internationally, draft and review contracts, report successes and areas needing improvements, and complete tender responses.
Required Experience
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field
