Due to our business growth, we have an opportunity within our sales team for an experienced
Business Development Manager to join the team. Reporting into the Country Sales Head, you will be responsible for managing the sales and growth of our customers that fall under the Modern Trade Channel. You will need to bring forward your expertise, drive and resilience to enable you to provide a full service to our customers, developing and implementing strategies and plans to create win/win outcomes. You will be targeted to achieve company volume and net sales.
HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
-Leads and directs distributor team in managing key accounts to achieving sales targets/volume, distribution, product assortment and availability, pricing, and returns management based on set targets/standard operating procedures through strategic alliances and partnerships with various retailers covering Modern Trade, Traditional Trade and all existing direct customers.
-Manages, monitors, and documents performance of the distributor team regularly; conducts on the job learning and reviews performance, and identifies performance gaps regularly.
-Review, measures, and analyzes business performance of assigned channel. Prepares/analyzes cycle reports for business planning recommendation and ensures compliance on set report deadlines.
-Develops/prepares/reviews sales forecast and service level performance of top customers to meet set targets and identifies areas needing focus and improvement.
-Leads implementation of trade programs, evaluates programs execution and recommends program improvements for future implementation.
-Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales objectives for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
-Plans and executes sales and promo activities that are customized for the channel or specific account.
-Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping abreast of supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
-Works directly with the Trade Marketing Manager to ensure on-time and full execution of promotions, new product launches and merchandising programs assigned to the channel
