Description
Job Description/Scope of work:
- Should be able to become well acquainted with all of the Key trade accounts assigned to him/her to come up with and propose key strategies to achieve the following goals in each account:
o Regularly identifying untapped opportunities with the key trade accounts to grow the business and sales.
Maximize the areas of the Trade Accounts that are not being fully utilized or maximized.
o Has regular alignment with members of the sales and marketing department, for joint projects and works that share the same objective/goal as the Business Development Specialist. With this, Business Development Specialist should also have an objective eye to counter check whether the right people with fit and appropriate qualities and qualifications are in place (per Trade Account) to support the maintenance and healthy growth of the respective accounts assigned to them.
o Sales versus expenses per key trade account that she/he is assigned to are counter monitored (along with the sales and finance department) to ensure fair and reasonable supports that aid the business' growth and development are being allocated to these accounts.
- Coordinating with the Sales, Marketing, and other members of the Business Development department to counter check that proper allocation of stocks per SKU is taking place regularly, proper display of each SKU is taking place regularly and rentals are being maximized:
o Issues and areas for improvement identified under these work categories should be reported to the department head responsible and rectification of issue is to be carried out by the department in charge.
- Is on top checking and analyzing the performance of each SKU monthly for the Trade Accounts that are assigned to him/her. To report the performance status of SKUs with the fit suggestion to maintain the growth of those that are good performers and propose solutions for those that are non-performers.
- Should have the capability to make necessary calls, decisions, plans that support the ultimate business development goal of the key trade accounts that are assigned to him/her through:
o Being knowledgeable enough on the directions, strategy, and potential of the key trade accounts assigned to him/her.
o The development of a good working relationship with the key people in the key trade accounts assigned to him/her.
- Assesses which Trade account personnel or BPC employee/department is the cause of delay or failure on business development projects for key trade account strategies that were set and reporting this objectively to managers/heads concerned.
- Is personable and can get along with various types of personalities to get his/her tasks accomplished.
Important basic qualifications:
- Bachelor/College Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent
- Should be organized in data-keeping.
- Should be capable of simplifying complicated issues and data.
- Should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
- Should have good & clear communication skills.
- Should be punctual and dependable.
- Post Graduate degree is advantageous.
