Job Description
About the Role
This role is designed to report to our Business Intelligence Manager. While this is not a helpdesk role, it is expected that this role will serve as the final pre-vendor escalation point for Business Applications support. A background in supporting or implementing solutions in the construction/landscaping industry would be favorably looked upon.
This role will work on exciting projects identifying improvements, prototyping designs, building solutions, and supporting applications and automation infrastructure for our client. The selected candidate will work closely with our Solution Architects and vendors on projects such as:
Automation in PowerAutomate and n8n
Low Code app-dev through Budibase and PowerApps
Dynamics 365 improvements - business process, automation & documentation
Improving other business processes and workflows as required
Assisting in migrating away from legacy on-premises infrastructure and business applications
Assisting our client with data analytics and reporting
Ad-hoc modern management enhancement projects, moving our client to further utilization of Microsoft 365 technologies and platforms.
This role requires the technical skills of a Level 3 helpdesk engineer or a system administrator, looking to take the next step in their IT career as a Business Applications Specialist for one of our clients while maintaining their existing deep skills base and leveraging it to provide excellent service in technology and architecture advice to the business. The successful applicant will be provided with opportunities to expand their knowledge and gain new marketable skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide high-quality documentation for current BAU applications
Identify, Design, Build, and Support internal business apps, processes, and systems.
Contribute to the re-architecture of platforms and lead migration projects to move key applications to Azure Cloud, Microsoft 365 and AWS
Training post-project ensuring a smooth transition to BAU for the Service Desk team.
Technologies
This role will work across the following technologies, and we would expect applicants to be familiar with multiple (but not all) of these:
Microsoft AD, Azure AD, Office 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager
Public Cloud (AWS, Azure)
OS (Windows desktop, Windows Server) + common application stacks on them (Active Directory, RemoteApp, etc)
Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
Microsoft SQL Server administration & SQL scripting
JavaScript, PowerShell scripting
Kofax AP Essentials
Benchmark OST
PowerPlatform, n8n, Pentaho, Budibase or other
Collaboration (Teams/Zoom Rooms)
Required Experience
Experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions across multiple of the above technologies
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and select solutions
Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture
Attention to detail
Background in MSPs preferred
Appropriate certifications would be preferable but are not required
Work Set Up:
On-Site/ Hybrid/ WFH
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
