Review and carries out strategies in various phases of works / field project operations for the attainment of company's major safety objectives; "Zero LTI, No Major Fire Incident, No Major Property Damage and Zero Recordable Case"
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs standard pre-operational inspection on the bulldozer.
Operates bulldozer to extract raw materials such as limestone and shale.
Construct new quarry access/diversion roads and benches; strips top soil/over burden prior to material extraction.
Reports to quarry supervisor any major/minor bulldozer breakdown.
Maintains proper cleanliness and up keep of the bulldozer.
Observes safety and precautionary measures.
Performs other related duties as may be instructed by the Quarry Supervisor / Manager.
Assist in oilers and mechanics in preventive maintenance check-up and repair works.
Assist in blasting activities at quarry.
Assist in other production activities.
Ensures that significant environmental aspects are effectively controlled according to the documented Environmental Management System (EMS)
Shall conduct pre-board and walk around inspection of the unit before start of operation. Any noted is immediately reported to maintenance.
On board inspection is thoroughly conducted prior to engine start up.
Shall observe recommended engine idling time prior to moving the unit and at the same time taking note of all gauges. If functioning normally and closely monitor all of them when the unit is in motion.
Proceed to the designated area as designated by the supervisor and when only transfer if the situation dictates or upon order of the supervisor.
Shall observe recommended Standard Operations Procedures for safe and efficient operations.
Shall accomplish the equipment check sheet and submit at the end of the operation.
Shall conduct cleaning of the unit on every opportune time.
Shall wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Observe always all Safety and Environmental policies and programs.
Render overtime work if required.
Promptly report to work on time. Absences should have prior notice unless the case is emergency in nature that the notice is relayed on said some day of absence.
Reports unsafe conditions and practices to the supervisor.
Attends to seminars and lectures on safety and equipment operations and/or maintenance
Performs other tasks as may be assigned to you by your immediate superior from time to time.
