Job Description
Project Planning: Collaborating with clients to understand their needs, goals, and budget constraints for the project.
Design Development: Creating preliminary design concepts, sketches, and renderings to visualize and communicate design ideas.
Blueprints and Specifications: Preparing detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications that outline the building's structure, layout, materials, and systems.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that design plans comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
Site Analysis: Conducting site visits and assessments to evaluate the conditions and constraints of the building site.
Sustainability: Incorporating sustainable design principles, such as energy efficiency and environmentally friendly materials, into the building design.
Client Interaction: Maintaining regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and obtain approvals throughout the design and construction phases.
Construction Oversight: Collaborating with construction managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that the project is built according to design specifications and within budget.
Quality Control: Monitoring the construction process to ensure that the quality of workmanship and materials meets the established standards.
Budget Management: Managing project budgets, tracking costs, and making adjustments as necessary to stay within budget constraints.
Project Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive records of design changes, construction progress, and project-related communications.
Coordination: Coordinating with other design professionals, such as structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and interior designers, to integrate their expertise into the overall project.
Problem-Solving: Addressing design and construction issues that arise during the project and proposing effective solutions.
Presentation: Preparing and delivering presentations to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to gain approvals and support for the project.
Post-Occupancy Evaluation: Conducting evaluations of completed projects to assess their performance and address any post-construction issues.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Education: A bachelor's degree in architecture is required, master's degree preferred.
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice.
Design Software Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, as well as familiarity with 3D modeling and drafting tools like AutoCAD, Revit and other software.
Knowledge of Building Codes: Familiarity with international building codes and regulations is crucial to ensure designs comply with legal requirements.
Project Management Skills: Skills in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling can be valuable.
Creativity: A strong creative and artistic sense is important for designing aesthetically pleasing and innovative buildings.
Communication Skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for conveying design ideas to clients, contractors, and team members.
Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and resolve design and construction-related challenges is crucial in architectural practice.
