Job Description
Studying plans and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures
Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding
Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints
Cutting, shaping and polishing stones and bricks using machines and hand tools, and shaping bricks to fit irregular spaces
Designing and cutting monumental masonry and lettering
Constructing walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Experience in working with refractory materials to conduct and repair structures that are exposed to high temperatures such as kilns, furnaces, incinerators, and industrial chimneys
Experience in general refractory installation including welding, fabricating, and mechanical maintenance work
Experience in demolition and installation or refractory lining
Experience laying or placement of brick or block work with or without refractory clay
Must be able to provide work references and evidence.
