Description
1. Operates crane smoothly to prevent excessive grapple swings, eliminate cable jerking, and reduce wear on electrical and mechanical parts.
2. Maintains a trench along the tipping floor to facilitate trucks.
3. Performs timely and complete crane inspections each schedule.
4. Records and logs inspection data, such as cable cuts and service length of cables, to identify recurring problems.
5. Completes required lubrication of all grease points on the cranes and grapples.
6. Maintains boom and the area on and around the boom area in a clean, neat, and orderly condition at all times.
7. Trains other staff to operate the crane as necessary.
8. Has depth perception and fine motor skills to operate cranes smoothly.
9. Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action.
10. Troubleshoots equipment in coordination with maintenance personnel, and assists in diagnosing problem areas.
11. Operates other vehicle such as company delivery vehicles.
