Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization. You will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, and payments.
Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform regular financial analysis to identify discrepancies and address any issues.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Assist with the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
