Your Responsibilities:
Maintaining our accounts daily, and managing processes of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, reconciliations of supplier invoices, and customer billing.
Conduct a daily reconciliation of every bank account, and billing system
Check daily tasks and notifications from the team
Preparation of monthly reporting packs, cashflow forecasting
Preparation of Quarterly BAS, STP reporting
Analysis and reporting on discrepancies in client billing against the supplier invoices
Conduct daily tasks and notifications from the team
Follow up, pause, cancel, and refund payment plans
Complete upgrades of products
Process payroll and monthly superannuation payments
Pay contractors invoices
Notify management of any accounting errors
Managing the record keeping including:
Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Preparing client reports, including
Generating reports from accounting systems
Manipulating the format and presentation of reports to better communicate important business information or meet client specifications.
Analyzing and providing commentary on reports to assist users' interpretation of them.
Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
Your Background:
Experience in Australian Accounting is strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of proven work experience and track record in data entry, record keeping and computer operation and related bookkeeping tasks including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, end-of-month journals, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll is strongly preferred.
1-2 years of proven experience and proficiency with general accounting principles.
Experience using Xero is a must.
Excellent Communication skills - both oral and written.
Proficiency in Xero, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets etc).
Keen attention to detail and high accuracy is a must.
Must be able to work unsupervised and develop with the business and as an individual.
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business insight.
Excellent conceptual thinking, resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or the equivalent
