Roles and Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper is expected to handle data processing in Xero in various different client files. The Bookkeeper must complete bank Reconciliations, Inter-Entity Transactions, preparation of Wages And Other Weekly Payments, preparation of Business Activity Statements, ASIC administration, Cash Flow Management, and Preparation of Individual Tax Returns.
Required Experience
- Australian bookkeeping experience
- At least 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any related course
A Successful Candidate must have
- Excellent English writing and speaking skills
- Logical thought process and above normal reasoning skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and "common sense"
- Excellent Memory and Retention
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Drive and a will to succeed and "go places"
- Extreme Attention to Detail
- Good leadership qualities that could in time manage a team
- Positive personality - not someone that sees every small obstacle as a big problem
- Confidence and ability to work autonomously - we don't want to do hand-holding at every step after 10 months
