What are we looking for?
As a Bookkeeper you will assist in supporting our client's Financial Reporting and Compliance Manager in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to our clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, adaptability to various accounting systems, and a readiness to embrace new technologies.
What are you expected to do?
Accounts Payable:
Monitor clients' "accounts payable" inbox
Process invoices accurately in the service desk system for client approval
Ensure correct coding of invoices in clients' accounting systems, including allocation to the right general ledger codes for GST and FBT reporting
Set up EFT payments in the client banking system
Assist with ad hoc enquiries
Accounts Receivable:
Monitor clients' "remittance" inbox
Receipt cash payments following documented procedures and policies
Process client-approved disbursements into the Practice Management System
Handle corporate credit card acquittals
Financial Transaction Processing:
Add approved disbursements to the EFT register
Process disbursement payments into the client Practice Management System
Liaise with internal and external contacts regarding transactions and account information
Set up EFT payments in the client banking system
Service Desk:
Respond to level 1 service desk tickets, including invoice adjustments, disbursement write-offs, and timesheet adjustments
Update charge-out rates in the client's practice management systems
Assist with ad hoc level 1 enquiries
Support other projects directed by the Financial Reporting & Compliance Manager
Treasury:
Prepare daily cash reports
Issue stop payments and adjustments within the client banking system
Trust Accounting:
Consolidate payment-supporting documentation into one payment file
Set up EFT payments in the client banking system
You'll be a great fit if:
You have a minimum of 2 years proven experience in a similar role
You possess experience with financial systems specifically any bookkeeping or accounting software like Xero or Quickbooks
You are proficient in Microsoft computer tools, especially Microsoft Excel
You demonstrate commitment to, and enthusiasm for, personalised client service and delivery. Form and maintain effective client relationships
You have the technical knowledge and skills to achieve the expectations and requirements of the role
You demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to effectively communicate requests and instructions to individuals and groups
You respond and adjust to changing work demands and circumstances. Be open to and accepting of change
You demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, creatively solve problems, manage and meet deadlines, and maintain a high quality of work

What happens after you submit your application?
The whole process takes around 4 weeks:
There will be 3-4 interviews and a possible assessment from our client partner. You will undergo an initial interview, a culture interview, and 1-2 interviews with our cool client. This will run for about 1-2 weeks but we will let you know if we need to ramp it up. Be yourself and have fun.
We will constantly communicate with you as to the development of your application. You can also directly communicate with us to ask us about the status of your application.
If all goes well, we complete the reference check and provide other necessary requirements so we can offer you the job right away.
