JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A BOOKKEEPER/ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper / Administration Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, performing bank reconciliations, preparing monthly journals, maintaining work papers, and assisting with various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial principles and be proficient in accounting software and administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will help build the client's best practice process to streamline his workflow and systematize the business.
As a Bookkeeper/Administration Assistant:
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Certified Bookkeeper or similar certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial information.
Your Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper/Administration Assistant:
• Reconcile the companys bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain a record of outstanding transactions.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for various financial transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Create and maintain workpapers for financial statements, supporting schedules, and reconciliations.
• Organize and update financial data for audits and reviews.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including but not limited to filing, data entry, scheduling, and record-keeping.
• Provide general administrative support to the office as needed.
