We are looking for a dynamic and talented Book Cover and Interior Designer for our Publishing LOB. We are a fast-growing, family-owned company dedicated to turning manuscripts into the published works of our authors' dreams. We are seeking a full-time, book cover and interior designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will create high-quality book covers and format interiors for both print and digital platforms. Collaborating closely with our Project Managers, you will ensure that designs align with each author's vision and meet our production standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Design eye-catching and market-appropriate book covers.
Format book interiors efficiently, adhering to our style guide and print specifications.
Collaborate with the production team and incorporate feedback to meet print and digital standards.
Prepare final files for print, ensuring compatibility with platforms like KDP and IngramSpark.
Ideal candidate for the role:
5+ years of professional graphic design experience, including book layout design.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Strong understanding of InDesign tools, including paragraph/character styles, tables of contents, baseline grids, indexing, and footnotes.
Experience preparing files for both print and digital formats.
Familiarity with KDP and IngramSpark is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
Fast learner & highly trainable with good analytical skills
Team player and able to work with less supervision
Good problem solver & has a Positive attitude
Must be willing to work graveyard shifts, and PH holidays
Well-organized, responsible, and has initiative
Independent with a positive work ethic and passion to succeed
Willing to start immediately
