Job Description
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics to determine the requirements for the metal structures to be fabricated
Cutting, shaping, and welding metal parts to create the required structures, such as conveyor belts, chutes, and hoppers
Installing and repairing the metal structures used in mining operations, such as crushers, screens, and mills
Conducting routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure that they are functioning properly and safely
Responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining the specialized equipment used in mining operations, such as conveyors, crushers, and ore-processing plants
Their role is critical in ensuring that the machinery is functioning safely and efficiently, which is crucial to maintaining the productivity of mining operations
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
Work experience in a mining setting
Must also be able to work in difficult conditions, including confined spaces, elevated platforms, and extreme temperatures
Can read technical drawings and use variety of tools and equipment to create metal structures that meet the required specifications.
You must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other tradespeople, engineers, and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards
