Job Description:
Support field-based biodiversity monitoring and conservation aligned with Verra's VCS & CCB standards
Manage and capacitate at least two staff; report directly to the Biodiversity Department Head
Conduct and supervise biodiversity surveys (avian research, camera traps, distance sampling, point counts)
Collate, analyze, and report biodiversity data to ensure scientific integrity
Assist in training field staff and supporting community-based initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Biology, Forestry, or related field
1-3 years of experience in biodiversity research, field surveys, or conservation projects
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Familiarity with biodiversity data analysis, statistical & visualization tools (e.g., RStudio)
Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams
Commitment to conservation, climate action, and Indigenous/local community rights
Advantage: Knowledge of local Mindanao languages
