MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical Functions - Manage day-to day activities of assigned staff in providing quality
technical services (e.g., BigFix administration, Vulnerability Remediation, system administration, etc.) which meet end user (e.g., client, internal customer, etc.) needs at the site level while adhering to department and Company policies, procedures, and methodologies.
Oversee the timely and accurate analysis of end user requirements, evaluating feasibility of
accomplishing tasks with existing resources (e.g., staffing, equipment, etc.), and managing end
user expectations to keep them at a realistic level
Serve in an ongoing partnership with end-users, providing consultative advice that requires
maintaining an in-depth knowledge of business operations and technical requirements
May partner with other divisions to develop technical services that are aligned with business
needs
Assist in the evaluation and use of new technology and methods that will advance efficiency
and effectiveness of technical services
Review technical activities of assigned staff, ensuring consistency in methods, procedures, and
adherence to established standards
Monitor staffing levels, trends and turnover, and prepare recommendations to management,
and prepare recommendations to management outlining efforts to maintain a quality staff
Continuously evaluate applicable policies, procedures, methodologies, etc., making
recommendations to management for changes or improvements
Participate in researching new products and development tools, keeping up-to-date on industry
trends and methodologies for incorporation into the Company's platforms
Provide for day-to-day system/network/application security administration and monitoring
Provide technical expertise to the Intrado Incident Response Capability team during the
investigation of patch-related incidents
Employee Development - Coach, develop, and mentor subordinates to achieve quality
performance.
Assist staff with establishing and attaining career development goals
Ensure that employee training is effectively conducted for all positions throughout assigned
area of responsibility
Conduct formal appraisals and performance reviews
Comply with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) guidelines
Understand and support AAP policies and goals
Review and recommend suggestions to management when updates to job descriptions are
required as responsibilities change
Monitor staffing levels, trends and turnover and prepare recommendations to management
outlining efforts to maintain a quality staff
Know and support approved corporate and departmental policies and procedures relating to
business procedures, philosophies and conduct ensuring communications and acceptance by staff
Partner with Human Resources to develop a hiring strategy in order to attract and retain
employees for current and future open positions
Technical Project Management - Provide leadership and direction on assigned technical
projects/tasks.
Identify project risks and develop contingency plan for those risks
Continuously monitor tasks and project assignments in progress
Consult with end users to define scope of assigned project/tasks and determine necessary skill
set
Determine skill set necessary and work with management in building project team
Evaluate requirements with project team
Monitor tasks and project assignments
Provide consultative advice to management and end users on project aspects
Thoroughly document requirements according to departmental standards and methodologies
Provide management with status reports
Meet with vendors and/or consultants to evaluate systems, enhancements, or software if
necessary
Ensure project is ready for implementation and conduct post-project review
Develop final report with findings and recommendations for management review
Team Interfaces/Customer Service - Establish and maintain a professional relationship with
internal/external customers, team members and department contacts.
Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks
Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves level of
service being provided
Treat all internal/external customers, team members and department contacts with
dignity/respect
Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact
the services being provide
Mental and Physical Requirements
*This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to
work near or around computers, telephones, and printers
*The nature of the work in this position is sedentary and the incumbent will be sitting most of the
time
*Essential physical functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over hand, and
repetitive motions to utilize general computer software/hardware continuously throughout the
work day
*Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on tasks, reading information,
and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the work day

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer
science, MIS, management or a related field required. Equivalent work experience in a similar
position may be substituted for educational requirements
Experience
Knowledge of security technologies, vulnerability management/scanning processes, and system security controls.
Hands-on experience with threat analysis and vulnerability management
Prior DevSecOps or continuous delivery and deployment experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communicator that can appropriately present complex concepts to technical teams and business peers.
Technical infrastructure operations, administration, or engineering background
Management/Supervisory experience of a team of security engineers/analyst
