BI DEVELOPER
 
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools, as well as experience in creating analytical solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, design effective data models, and ensure the accuracy and performance of our data infrastructure. Additionally, this position will work alongside the Business Intelligence Technology Lead to ensure the quality, scalability, and reliability of our BI solutions.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and refine data requirements, ensuring efficient data warehouse design and structure
Design and develop data models, data integration workflows, and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse
Implement and deploy scalable and high-performance ETL solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies
Conduct data profiling and data mapping to ensure accurate data extraction and transformation
Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline tools and processes for our data systems (automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.)
Create and maintain reporting and analytics solutions, including dashboards, visualizations, and interactive reports using Power BI
Ensure auditable standards for BI related solutions by utilizing quality/version control tools such as PowerOps or Github
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for BI tools and processes using Confluence and SharePoint
Monitor the health and performance of BI solutions and related systems, proactively addressing any issues
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Developer or in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and deploying Data Warehouse solutions, specifically using Star Schema Design
Expertise in data migration, data integration, and data governance practices
Proficiency with various BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
3+ years of experience with databases such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
Experience writing and executing SQL transactions in a production environment
2+ years of experience using ETL/Workflow tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, Kafka , Spark) 
Proficiency with scripting languages for data (e.g., Python, Node.js, etc.)
1+ year data modeling experience for both OLTP and OLAP systems
Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and normalization techniques
The ideal candidate should be a strong team player who can also work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, operate with minimal supervision, and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
This individual should also have strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of working experience with AWS data services such as RDS and DataPipelines
1+ year experience working in Agile or Scrum setting using Jira or Airtable
Expertise in cloud-based solutions and data integration platforms (e.g. CData, AWS Redshift)
