The Barista is a key member of the café team, responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages in a fast-paced environment. Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, and other specialty beverages according to company recipes and customer preferences.
Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment.
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all drinks.
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly, answer questions about the menu, and make product recommendations.
Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle cash, card, and mobile payments responsibly and issue receipts.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
Food Service Support:
Assist in the preparation and presentation of light meals, pastries, and snacks.
Ensure food is stored, handled, and displayed according to safety regulations and brand standards.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including the counter, equipment, and seating areas.
Follow daily cleaning checklists and contribute to overall store cleanliness.
Ensure proper sanitation practices are followed in compliance with health and safety standards.
Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to stay informed of new products, procedures, and policies.
Support team members by assisting with restocking, inventory, and opening/closing duties as needed.
Requirements
1-2 years of proven experience as a barista in a café or restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, brewing methods, and café operations
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
