BS Siargao is a new restaurant to the island which will be serving an all day brunch style menu. We're focused on delivering really good food, drinks and tunes. At BS we're taking international brunch classics and giving it an island twist by making sure we source our ingredients locally as much as possible. The objective is to do things that we find cool and interesting and serve that up to our guests.
 
HEAD BARISTA
 
Location: Siargao Island, Philippines
 
Job Overview:
 
We are looking for young and vibrant Barista who can bring a cool energy and vibe to our establishment. The ideal candidates should possess a strong work ethic, a passion for providing exceptional customer service, and a strong knowledge on coffee.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service: Greet guests warmly, guide them to their tables, and assist them with menu selections. Ensure that guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns.
Take and process orders: Accurately record guests' orders, paying attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions. Communicate orders promptly to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to the tables.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace: Set up tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and linens. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring restrooms are well-stocked and tidy.
Collaborate with the team: Work closely with other wait staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient operation and smooth flow of service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to relay information about guest preferences, special requests, and any issues that may arise.
Handle payments: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and return change or receipts promptly. Handle cash and credit card transactions securely and follow established procedures for cash handling.
Uphold health and safety standards: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Ensure proper handling, storage, and serving of food and beverages. Maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and fellow team members.
Maintenance of espresso machine and grinders
Inventory management
Provide training to fellow staff on Latte Art, and coffee preparation.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a barista or head barista.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Basic math skills for handling payments and billing.
Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation is a plus.
Must have a positive attitude and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
